Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. I had lab in the morning, so my schedule was delayed. I decided to ride indoors. I chose "Chasing The Sun In Makuri Islands" on Zwift. I was looking of an hour ride with one or two modest climbs. This map seemed to fit the bill. I didn't like the first five miles. It went through the city with many twists and turns. So, settling into a tempo was difficult. After that file mile segment, the route went into the rice-farm / country side. It felt much better. I was able to settle into a tempo and the miles and minutes went much faster. There was one timed uphill segment. It was about a 10 minute effort. The last time I did it was on my Elite trainer. I was off my PB by about 20 or 30 seconds. I wasn't surprised after learning the Saris trainer rates the wattages slightly less. I think I got around 70th place out of several hundred. I don't remember exactly. Suffice it to say, I was able to put in a good effort. After that was mostly descending and riding into false flats through the countryside. With about 2 to 3 miles remaining, the route returned into the city. I put in a good effort through a sprint segment. I don't remember what my time was, but I put in a PB. After reaching the finish, I immediately began the cooldown. I cooled down for about two miles or so until the HR went down to 112 BPM. Concentration was ok, not great. I was a bit distracted or even bored going through the twists and turns in the first 5 miles. Perhaps I was just being impatient. Gear worked perfect. Ailments were minimal. Just the usual sensation of exhaustion. Balance and form was good. I had to recenter the saddle as it was a bit to the left. It felt better. Nutrition was good. No hunger signs. I had about half my Gatorade. No water. Other notes, there were about 4000 riders when I hopped on.
