Today's weather was very windy! 20-30 mph winds from the North West. I wore arms, knees and brought my cap (that I wore on the descent to Keene). Given that the wind was stronger than normal, I decided to take it easy today. I soft pedaled the downhill to Keene. I got there in average time at best. I wasn't sure what to expect on the climb, but I was hoping it would feel like I had a third leg. I stopped at the Chavez center to remove some clothing, knees and cap. I continued the climb with moderate tempo and increased to good. No heroics, modest in the sections with a headwind. I stopped a few times to take some photos of the spring flowers. Possibly why I didn't feel great, my body had to re-warm up on more than one occasion. After reaching the monument loop, I was able to recover on the downhill and commence with good tempo. I held this tempo for the remainder of the ride. My concentration was good for the most part, no gremlins today. Balance and form felt good. Ailments consisted of a hint of lower back soreness, some left shoulder pain (from working out, strained). My right wrist is still a bit sore, but noticeably better. Gear is working well, no mishaps.
Other notes, I feel somewhat bloated today. My weight holds at 145 lbs.
