Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

I had to make a decision. I want to do the Caliente exploration ride, but I need to train for it first. I had a choice between Keene + Alpine Forest or Tour de Teh (SS,R). I chose the latter. I got the clothing half right. I wore arms, knees and a thick base layer. I should have brought a head cap. Suffice it to say, my head was a bit cold for the first half of the ride. The wind was headed East, so ideal for this ride. The legs felt pretty good to start. I made it to the end of OTR in good average time. The Banducci Wall went as it normally does, some traffic mitigation and the usual grind over the top. The remainder was mostly moderate tempo. I reached the summit in about 40 minutes. So, it became apparent that it was going to be a two hour ride at best. The descent was fun. The trek to SS was mostly in the small ring, going 15 MPH or so into the wind. I made my way around the backside and descended off the mountain. I stopped to take photos of a horse grazing in the distance. I decided to take a nature break at the local park. Glad I did! I reached the tunnel in about 1:07-ish hours. I zipped through town and made my way back through the farmlands. I was not on good time, so I decided to take it easy. I made it to Boss Hoggs over 2:10-ish hours. Give or take. I pulled over to swap the GoPro battery and then commenced the last climb. The climb went well. The knees were behaving. The legs were fatigued, but not sore. I was doing moderate tempo and did a modest push over the top. I pulled over to take another photo and checked my FordPass app. My Cmax was responding the location as it should. From there, I made my way to Route 202. There was a bit of traffic mitigation. I had to sprint to the left turn lane to avoid approaching traffic from behind. I made it without endangering anyone. OTR was relaxing and a treat at the same time. Mariposa felt a bit sluggish. From there it was mostly fun and games home. Concentration was good. I had stuff to think about. The morale felt good. Balance and form was good. I like the saddle height. Ailments were minimal. The left IT-band was a bit sore, but stretching helped. Gear worked perfect, no issues there. Nutrition was good. No hunger signs. I went through most of my Gatorade, no water. Other notes, no other cyclists out there today.
