Went on solo ride today. Weather was great. Some clouds, around lower 80's but with a cool breeze coming from the north. I did a full strength training workout yesterday, so my legs were sore when I got up. For the most part, I didn't feel the soreness until I reached Banducci. After that point, I could feel soreness in the lower quads, on the inside. I did real good time today, so I was pretty much laying the hammer down for most of the ride. Ailments, my back was sore at times, but stretching it out while on the bike helped. The way out to SS was brutal with a strong headwind. They had construction in that area, so I was forced to wait a minute or two. That was the only time I stopped for the whole ride, with the exception of fiddling with the Gopro. The return trip was a treat, I was free to fly in the tailwind. Always a great feeling! Concentration was good, with only a few lapses. Balance was also good. My legs were hooking up nicely. OK, other stuff... The Gopro had some problems today. It failed to record live videos 2 times. No clue why... GPS is working great as usual. The bike is working great. One exception is that my right cleat rubs against the pedal and makes a squeeking noise. Not sure if it requires replacement, will look into that later. Also, saw some deer today on Old Town Road. 2 adults and 1 youngster.
