Went riding with Roger in the afternoon. Weather was warm, but comfortable. We cruised the first part, till the start of the Banducci Wall. Roger dropped back, so I went at my own pace. I held a slightly above moderate tempo to the summit of the climb. We decended to Stallion Springs, pretty much together, mot of the way there. There was road construction at the base of the little climb on Stallion Springs. No waiting time though. The situation was the same, I went at my pace and Roger at his. It was better this way, so I got a good workout and so did he. We cruised the way back from Stallion Springs to the farm lands. Then I picked up the pace till the start of Cumming Valley road climb. Of course, waiting for Roger at the base of the climb. I was a special climb today. There was a tractor that was behind us, just as we started the ascent. I told Roger, what if we could beat the tractor? So, I said to myself, I'm going to try. It seemed like the tractor had a max speed of somewhere between 15 and 20 MPH. So being the climb that this was, I figured it was possible. I gave it a whirl, and I was holding him off, to the last few hundred yards of the climb. The real tough part was the last 1 or 2 hundred yards, as it kicks up and the wind hits you the face! I gave it my all, and to my surprise, I beat the tractor! I was pretty happy about that. OK, so other stuff, ailments, nothing major, some numbness in the hands at times. Shaking them off worked. Concentration was good and so was balance. Gopro locked up once, at the to of Cummings Valley road and Route 202. Taking the battery out and reseating it seemed to do the trick. GPS is woking well. Bike continues to creak at the bottom stroke on the right crank arm as I am out of the saddle. I'm thinking I will have to take the crank off and see if I can remove the bottom bracket and regrease it. The rest of the way back was cruise control, pretty much. I really liked this ride!
