My throat is still hurting since Friday. It's a bit better, but lingering. My plan is to see the doctor if it doesn't go away by tomorrow. In such, I decided to ride indoors because it was safer. The legs felt good to start. Sufficiently warmed up by the first climb. I was doing moderate tempo for most of the climb. In and out of the saddle frequently. This route is very tricky. The first 10 minutes has you thinking, I have 20 more minutes to go and I'm wanting to do another lap. "This is too much". It's a climb of patience. As I neared the summit, I was asking myself how much time do I have left to ride and do I want to do another lap. So, I descended to the base and decided to head back up the mountain for about 10 minutes to see how I felt. I wanted to put about 1 hour into the training session. After about 10 minutes, I was feeling good and I noticed I had sufficient time to complete the ride. My tempo was slightly faster, but more of the same. I ended up posting a negative split by about 30 seconds. After descending off the mountain for the second time, I headed back to town and cooled down till the HR neared 112BPM. Concentration was good. Impatient for the first 20 minutes or so. My throat situation was distracting. Gear worked flawless. Ailments, some hand numbness, the throat situation wasn't too bad after about 30 minutes into the ride. It continues to be sore at the moment. Balance and form is good. Other notes, there were about 250-ish riders on this map. I posted 22nd on the first climb and 13-ish on the second lap.
