I was finally able to get in a Tour de Teh (SS,R) ride today. Compared to doing it during the weekend, I think I like it better this way. The legs felt good to start. I didn't bother checking the time at the summit of OTR, but it was likely good average time. I reduced the tire pressure to 85 lbs before shoving off. The weather was nice and cool. In the low 70's with scattered clouds. Perfect day for a bike ride. They repaved Banducci all the way to SS. The climb up the wall went well. The less tire pressure worked better. It definitely dampened the bumps from the granular tarmac. After making it to the summit of Banudcci, I took a few moments rest and hydrated. Shortly after, I made my way down the mountain. I was able to handle the rough tarmac a bit better. A few more times and with adjusting the tire pressure a bit more, I think I'll have this descent back to before the old tarmac. I made my way to SS as usual. There's some debris in the shoulder, so I was having to safely swerve into the car lane here and there. I made my way around the backside of SS and headed into town. I love the tarmac on this part of the ride, so smooth! I stopped at the local park for a bio break and got back on the road. I didn't bother checking the time at the tunnel. Likely around 1:04-ish hours. I zipped through town and got back on Banducci for the return. I pulled over once to right a sign that was laying on the ground. The sign was for the farmers. They still haven't paved the exit of SS or the Pellisier. I didn't bother checking the time at Boss Hogs. I guess I wasn't thinking about time on this ride. I made my way up the last climb doing moderate tempo sometimes more. I kept the tempo going over the top. I pulled over to swap out the GoPro battery. I pulled over once more to take photos of the Texas longhorn bulls. After that it was non-stop to home. I had to make a right turn on OTR because of traffic. As I was descending OTR, there was a car behind me. I had a nice tailwind, so I floored it. Lots of fun. I did the grind over Mariposa, made my way back to Weston and then shut it down. Concentration was good. The morale felt good. Balance and form was good. Nutrition was good. Minimal hunger signs. I drank most of my Gatorade and a bit of water. Gear worked great. The saddle is a bit iffy. I was getting a bit sore on the left sit bone. So, I'm not 100% convinced on the saddle just yet. The bib shorts feels good. Ailments, the left sit bone, a bit of throat soreness from before, although it's feeling much better. Other notes, no other cyclists today.
