Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

Today's weather was warm but comfortable. In the low 80's, winds from the North West. I wore the standard kit with 1 base layer. I decided to do a 30 mile ride in order to setup the next ride that will be a triple. With that in mind, I started the ride. I felt average going out the door. It took me till the end of OTR to get fully warmed up. I made my way up the Banducci wall, starting moderate, good, then high over the top. I had some traffic from behind, so that was an extra incentive. The false flat was my recovery zone. (Whilst making my way to the next half of the climb, I heard something drop to the ground. It sounded like a pencil dropping. A few moments later I noticed the screw fastener was missing on the Gopro. I turned around, found it, put it on, then resumed the ride.) I did moderate to good tempo for the remainder of the climb and a kick over the summit. I took a few moments break, recovered, let some traffic by, then descended. Practicing my tuck all the while. The trek through the farmlands was mostly moderate tempo, negotiating traffic. Once past the entrance to SS, I backed off a bit, stretched, hydrated, then made my way up the last climb. I descended, practicing my tuck. I was able to get some good speed down to the tunnel. I wasn't going for time today, I think I made it to the tunnel in about 1:02ish hours. I made the usual dig through SS, then exited. Banducci return was mostly modest tempo. Till I got to Pelliser. From there it was a mix of moderate to good tempo. I was feeling good at this point, so I was able to hold a good tempo going up the last climb, with a dig over the top. I recovered for a minute or two on the false flat. Then, headed down Route 202, negotiating traffic. From there, OTR was fun and games. The usual dig over Mariposa and then home. Concentration was a bit off today. I was somewhat distracted because I'm getting a new laptop today. I guess I was anxious to get back home. (Turns out that they didn't deliver it, but that's almost always the case it seems). Balance and form felt pretty good. I definitely like the new cleat position. Ailments consisted of right hand numbness, neck soreness from the past, some lower back soreness. None of which detracted from my tempo. Gear is working great. Other notes, I only saw 1 other cyclist today.
