Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

Today's weather was hot. In the upper 80's. Winds from the north west. I wore the standard kit + 1 base layer. I felt average going out the door. I immediately felt the effect from the heat. It felt like someone took half a lung from my body. Nevertheless, I made it to the end of OTR in about average time. I was sufficiently warmed up by that time. I started the Banducci wall moderate and then allowed my body to settle into a solid tempo. I put it a dig over the top, but not overly so. I recovered over the false flat, then climbed the remainder of Banducci in moderate tempo, increasing over the top. I took a few moments rest and then headed downhill. It was fun and games, doing my tuck thing twice. After getting to the base of Banducci, I made my way to the bike path. It looked like they put a fresh coat of tar. I road over it cautiously to see if it was in fact uncured. Turns out that it was cured, so I stayed in that lane all the way down to the false flat. The trip to SS was moderate and traffic negotiation. The climb over the backend was mostly moderate and picking up the tempo slightly over the top. From there, it was the downhill, practicing my tuck position. I made it to the tunnel in around 1:05 hours. I had no intention of going for good time today. After zipping through SS, I made my way back on Banducci. Doing mostly moderate tempo, checking my form all the while. Then through the farmlands, I started modest, recovering, stretching, etc. I made it to Boss Hogs in around 1:25ish hours. Then the last climb was moderate tempo pushing it over the steeper sections and over the top. After going through the false flat section, I was able to stretch and relax. Route 202 was traffic mitigation. Then OTR, fun and games. Pushing it over Mariposa and cruise control to home. Concentration was good today, very few lapses and in the zone for almost the entire ride. Balance and form felt good. Still needs some tweaking. Ailments consisted of right hand numbness. Some mild pains in the hips (mostly left). The arch of my right foot was sore when I approached the last climb. I loosened the velcro and stretched my foot. I have a blister on my left hand. The pain was negligible. Gear is working good. No issues there. Other notes, I saw 4 or 5 cyclists today.
