Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

I decided to ride to the Alpine Forest. Winds are from the South East. I was trying to figure out what to wear. I decided to wear arms, knees and a thick base layer. The legs felt pretty good to start. I made it to the end of OTR in good average time. I pulled over to take off my knee warmers when I got there. (I turned off the GoPro, but I think I forgot to turn it back on). The climb up Banducci was mostly steady tempo with some traffic mitigation. I was able to relax a bit more and concentrate just a bit better when I ascended Arosa. I didn't bother checking my HR when I reached the summit. I had some matches unburned. I zipped around the backside and made my way to the summit of Banducci. I pulled over to take a few moments rest. I fed a Clif Bar, let the traffic by and then headed back down the mountain. It was mostly smooth sailing from there. Minimal traffic mitigation. I made my way to OTR and had a good time on the descent. I pushed over Mariposa. I shut it down when I reached the summit of Weston. Concentration was good. Minimal lapses and gremlins. Balance and form was good. Gear worked perfect. Nutrition was good. Ailments, minimal. Other notes, no other cyclists.
