Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

It’s getting a bit cooler. In the 50’s when I departed. I wore knees and arm coolers with a thick base layer. It turned out to be just right. I had to decide where to go. I want to put in a good ride for the weekend, so I needed something to hold me over. I decided to head up the Alpine Forest and then a Buffalo Run. I think I got it right. I made it to the end of OTR in good time. I decided to keep my layers on. The Banducci Wall had some traffic mitigation, but not much. The Alpine Forest climb went quick. I found a tempo that I was able to hold for the duration of the climb. I was guessing my time to the landmarks. I had something in reserve going over the top. I zipped around the backside, doing 42 MPH on one of the dips. After reaching the summit of Banducci, I pulled over to take a few moments rest. I checked the GoPro battery, let traffic by, and headed back down the mountain. Less than a mile into the descent, I dropped my chain to the inside. The chain catcher kept it from getting lodged. I learned to dismount and don't turn the pedals. It took all but 10 seconds to re-engage the chaing. From there, I headed down the mountain, no more mishaps. The Banducci Wall was a treat to descend off. I headed up the Volcano climb and then the Buffalo Run. I stopped once to pet the local horses. I made my way back to OTR and was mostly fun and games till I reached Mariposa. I shut it down when I reached the top of Weston. Concentration was good. Perhaps a bit impatient. Balance and form was good. Ailments were minimal. My right upper calf was slightly tender before the ride, but got better with time and wasn't detracting.
I was having mild bio signs. I made it back in time. Nutrition was good. I drank about 2/3rds of my sport drink and some water. Gear worked well, but I dropped my chain today. Will have to adjust the front derailleur. Hopefully I won't have to buy a new chain. Other notes, I saw one or two cyclists today.
