The weather has cooled down. It's in the 60's. Winds from the North West. I wore the standard kit. I was debating on bringing a head cap, but decided against it. I made the right decision. I got up a bit late today, so my departure was delayed by about 30 minutes or so. The legs felt ok to start. Not bad for a big ride just two days ago. I made it to the summit of OTR in good average time. From there, I headed up the Banducci Wall. I had some traffic mitigation, otherwise went as usual. The Alpine Forest was better for the morale. It's just that first 10 minutes that needs patience. I had some matches left in the tank going over the top. I zipped around the backside, reaching 41 MPH on the dip and then made my way to the summit of Banducci. Once there, I took a few moments rest and headed back down the mountain. Descending off the Banducci Wall was a treat, but erred on the side of caution. After making it down the mountain, I headed up the Volcano Climb and then the Buffalo Run. From there, I made my way up the mole hill and to OTR. OTR was mostly fun and games. I pushed over Mariposa and then back home. I shut it down at the top of Weston. Concentration was good. The morale felt good. A bit impatient at times. Balance and form was good. Nutrition was spot on. I drank most of my sport drink and some water. Ailmlents were minimal. Perhaps a hint of hand numbness on occasions. Gear worked flawless. I have to clean the brakes soon. Other notes, I saw a recumbent cyclist today as I was heading back on Highline.
