It’s windy out and the power was shut off by the city. I decided to go to the Alpine Forest. Fortunately I cooked my oatmeal before it was cut at 8:30 AM. It was cold enough to wear arms, knees, headcap, face mask and jacket. The legs felt pretty good to start. I made it to the end of OTR in good time. (I have to give partial credit to the help of the wind. It was a bit turbulent). The Banducci Wall had some traffic mitigation. I felt better in morale when I reached the Arosa climb. I was using my easy gears. The wind was knocking me around. I wasn't red-lining it, and made it to the top with matches to spare. I zipped around the backside. I decided to take it easy on the downhill segments due to the dangerous wind conditions. After reaching the summit, I checked the GoPro battery and then made my way back down the mountain. I was feathering my brakes most of the way. Especially descending off the Banducci Wall. After making it back to OTR, I was able to relax and get back home. I pushed over Mariposa and shut it down at the top of Weston. Concentration was good, I was a bit occupied keeping the ride safe given the heavy wind conditions. Otherwise, minimal lapses or gremlins. Balance and form was good. Ailments were minimal. Nutrition was good. I drank more than half my sport drink, no water. Gear worked flawless. Other notes, no cyclists today.
