The weather has turned rainy as was predicted. I was just about to get out for a ride when I noticed a few sprinkles on my bedroom window. So, I decided to hop on Zwift. I chose a map that I knew I could finish within 40 minutes or so. I chose the "Ocean Lava Cliffside Loop". It goes around the volcano and then around a perimeter. There were over 8000 riders to start. The legs felt good to start. Putting the gear together was quick. It didn't take much to get warmed up. I was able to push 3 W/kg+ on the brief climb. I was keeping tabs on the right glute as it is still sore. It seems to be getting better, but ever so slowly. I was in and out of the saddle and using all my gears. My right knee was a bit sore in the last half of the ride, so I was having to adjust my pedaling style here and there. Otherwise, the ride went as I had planned. I shut it down after completing the loop and then commenced a cool down lasting a few minutes. Concentration was good. The morale was good. Ailments, the continued right glute soreness. Some right knee soreness. Balance and form was good. Nutrition was good. I drank most of my sport drink, no water. Gear worked flawless. Other notes, there were over 8000 riders when I hopped on. and over 15,000 riders combined between all the maps.
Other notes. I had my GPS connected with the Stages power meter. I noticed the difference between the wattage of the stages and the trainer. It varied by about 10 to 15 watts less on the Stages.
