Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. It’s foggy and the roads are damp. Perfect day to hop onto Zwift. I chose to ride with some Robo Pacer groups. I started with a 1.1 W/kg-ish group for about 10 minutes. This was my warmup ride. Then I joined a 1.6 W/kg-ish group for about 20 minutes. I was well within my limits and I gapped the Robo Pacer on many occasions. After that, I hopped onto a 2.6 W/kg-ish Robo Pacer group based in the Watopia map. The original plan was to ride for 20 minutes in this group. This group was pushing me near my limits. I was having to do over 3 W/kg on many occasions just to keep up. So, near 200 watt efforts here and there. The body felt responsive. I was doing out of the saddle efforts just to keep up. I was sweating after about 15 minutes in this group. After 20 minutes passed, I decided to ride another 5 minutes. I was keeping an eye on other things. My HR sensor was off by a bit. It seemed to be off by as much as 7 or 8 BPM’s. After 25 minutes passed, I decided to go another 5 minutes. I shut it down after 30 minutes and cooled down for 6 or 7 minutes till the HR went down to 112 BPM.
My right cleat was making some noise, so I was having to wash it out with some water from my bottle. I got my new Speedplay baseplates in the mail yesterday. Now, I have to install them. On another note, as I was mounting my bike on the trainer, it got wedged and took some paint damage just trying to fix it. I’m going to patch the damaged areas, that’s the plan.
Concentration was good. A bit impatient to begin, but got better as I settled in. Balance and form were good. Gear held up perfectly. Although the watch’s HR sensor was off. Ailments were minimal. The knees held up good. No pains from the inner glutes. The hands became slightly numb while doing out of the saddle efforts. Nutrition was good. No hunger signs, I went through most my sport drink. Other notes, I think there were about 3,500 riders on the Maruki Island map and over 16,000 on the Watopia map.
