Day 26 Rain day. Used the lobby hotel computers to reroute official Adventure Cycling route to Suffolk NC from 100 miles to more like 85. The hotel lobby PCs gave us access to full ridewithgps.com route planning tools to do the job. The phone app is a bit lacking in the advanced planning area. So Thursday it's on to Suffolk. Rode today in showers to Subway for lunch. 1/2 that foot long sub will be lunch tomorrow too, since the shortened route has fewer services on it too. Wright Brothers monument and museum out at Kitty Hawk is 80 some odd miles away. Too far to bike, at round about 200 dollars and 1.5 hours it was too much to Uber to too. The local Ford dealer next door did not have a F150 Lightning or Mustang E in stock to test drive, their loss, I might have bought it and ended the trip here to drive it and the bike home. Dinner: Bojangles at the hotel after dinner I noticed Tesla charge stations at the hotel. Plymouth is not exactly a tourist mecca. Front desk guy says City got funding from Tesla to install them, and pays the hotel like $500 a month to host them. Hardly anyone uses them, and none stay at the hotel. The remaining trip to Alexandria is shaping up to be: 7th Thursday to Suffolk 86 mile (unofficial route) cross state line into VA 8th Friday to Williamsburg 55 miles (Jamestown ferry near end) 9th Saturday possibly rain day possible visit in Williamsburg with Dave Pape my Clarkson roommate, if he gets back to me, he might be out of town. 10th Sunday to Ashland (beyond Richmond) 70 miles, or 50 miles if stopping at Richmond. 11th Monday to Fredericksburg 56 miles, or 76 miles if coming from Richmond. 12th Tuesday to Dale City 50 miles 13th Wednesday to Alexandria 35 miles. Or something approximating that. Rain may not be an issue Saturday 12th/13th might be combined
