The weather is partly cloudy and a bit on the cold side. I wore arms, knees, head cap and jacket. I headed out to the summit of OTR first. I wanted to put in an extra 30 minutes since I will have a procedure done next week. I made it to the summit of OTR in good average time. From there, I made my way to Keene. The descent was mostly fun and games. I kept the tempo going while keeping as many matches for later. I cruised the downhill to Keene. I put in two digs over the risers. I stopped on the first riser dig because my extra bottle in the saddle bag fell. From there, it was non-stop to the summit. As I was nearing the base, I was getting bio signs. So, I was looking for a convenient place to conduct business. I couldn't find a place, so I made my way to the base in the hopes I'll find somewhere on the way back. I headed back up the mountain after reaching the base. I was looking for a place to bio and finally found one at the end of the gauntlet. After that, I was able to complete the climb. The landmarks went fast. There was a train on its way up, so that was a treat. After the second riser, the morale felt better. I kept my tempo going over the top. After reaching the summit, I eased up to recover and then headed back home. I shut it down at the top of Weston.
Concentration was good. The morale felt good. It was nice to get out earlier than usual. Balance and form felt pretty good. Ailments, some hand numbness. The knees felt good. Nutrition was good. Perhaps a hint of hunger signs, but the sport drink fixed that. I went through most of the bottle. Perhaps a sip of water too. I didn't need the extra bottle of water or the powder drink that I brought. Gear worked flawless. Other notes, no cyclists today. They were putting Memorial Day flags at the Loop Monument when I passed by.
