Today was the first ride since the Caliente ride this past weekend. The legs felt pretty good to start. I'm near fully recovered. The temperature is around 70 degrees. Cool winds from the North West. I made it to the summit of OTR in good average time. The Banducci Wall had some traffic mitigation. I felt better after making it to Arosa. The Arosa climb went quick. Before I knew it, I was at the speed bumps. I made my way around the backside. I reached over 43MPH on the first dip. After reaching the summit, I pulled over for about a minute to recover. I let traffic by and then headed back down the mountain. There was a some traffic from behind as I was descending of the Banducci Wall, so I slowed down to let them pass. The descent of OTR was mostly fun and games. I was able to push it a bit. I did the usual grind over Mariposa and the punch to the top of Weston. I shut it down when I got there.
Concentration was good. A bit impatient at the start. Otherwise, mostly in the zone with no gremlins worth mentioning. Balance and form was good. Nutrition was good. No hunger signs. I went through most of my sport drink. Ailments were minimal. Some hand soreness here and there. Gear worked flawlessly. Although, there were some mystery clicks on a occasion as I was pushing it out of the saddle. Other notes, I saw one casual and one avid cyclist today.
Other notes, the power meter failed to pair today. So, no power metrics today.
