Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

Today was a real cold day. I wore just about everything. 2 base layers, jacket, legs, arms, 2 socks, skull cap, face mask. The winds were from the north so I had a tailwind on the way back. My legs felt better than the previous ride. My concentration was mostly on keeping a steady tempo and trying to avoid the debris on the road. I was trying not to let my mind float around too much. The ride was mostly about saving enough energy to get through the head wind, either going out or back. I should have worn shoe covers. The 2 socks weren't enough and they felt frozen by the time I got back. Otherwise, everything else was relatively comfortable. Balance was pretty good. Most of the ride is in the saddle. Out of the saddle being the more difficult of the two to keep the balanced. Gear is working well, but the Gopro stopped when I checked it at the turn-around point. I restarted it, and it stayed on for the remainder of the ride. Other notes, I saw a glider as it was being towed by it's pilot plane (correct terminology??). Traffic wasn't too bad. The bike lane still had a lot of debris. I'll have to check my tires for any glass.
