Daylight savings just passed. It felt like I had an extra hour. I slept in a bit to regather my strength. I am feeling better. The weather is cool, but not freezing. I wore arms, knees, head cap, thick base layer, and newspaper in the chest. I was sufficiently warm. I guessed it right. I played this ride by ear. I decided to head to the summit of OTR and see how things felt. It was immediately apparent that I was felling good. I made it to the summit of OTR in good time. From there, I decided to head up the Alpine Forest. The Banducci Wall had some traffic mitigation, otherwise went well. The Arosa climb was quick. I was able to settle into a nice tempo. I tried not to red-line it too much. I was near max over the top, but had matches remaining. I made my way around the backside and then to the summit of Banducci. After reaching the summit, I pulled over to recover and then head back down the mountain. The descent off Banducci was mostly safe. So was the wall. The wind was calm. The return off OTR was mostly fun and games. I pushed over Mariposa and shut it down at the top of Weston.
Concentration was good. The morale felt better, especially when I first got out and the legs were feeling good. Balance and form was good. Ailments were minimal. Some hand numbness. Gear worked flawlessly. Nutrition was good. No hunger signs. I went through a bottle of sport drink. Other notes, I saw two cyclists today. A recumbent and a casual.
