Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

I was able to get out a little earlier than the previous ride. The weather was cold enough to wear arms and knees. I wore a cap for the first 20 minutes and took it off at the end of OTR. Out the door, I felt good. My legs weren't heavy. With the aid of the wind, coming from the north, I'm sure that helped a bit. I think I started a bit faster than usual, but settled into moderate tempo when I reached the first parts of OTR. On the Highline leg, I wasn't sure how I was going to approach it. Every day on this route is different. I started modest and picked up the pace as the road began to rise. Over the top I felt pretty good, so I decided to push it a bit further. I think I hit 40mph on the first downhill roller. I tried to keep my momentum going till I hit the lone stop sign. From that point I was going between moderate and high tempo. My hips were a bit sore, but I was smart enough to back off and sit up a bit when it became uncomfortable. Other than that, it was exhaustion mitigation. The return trip was more or less moderate tempo with no change in pace. Being that I was going into a headwind, I saw no need to redline it and gain 1mph more on the average. My concentration was good for the most part, not great, but around 85-90%. Balance was so so today. I think I felt better balanced on the return from Willow Springs. Gear is working great, the chain feels solid and shifting is spot on.
