The weather was great today. In the 70's when I got out the door. In the morning, I felt a bit fatigued, but after taking a nap I felt much better. My legs were fresh from the beginning. The winds were from the south, so I had a headwind on the way out to Willow Springs. I put it in cruise control, hardly putting my HR beyond 145ish. Everything seemed to be in check. Very few ailments, my hips were ok, I did have numbness in the right hand on a few occasions. I was hoping that wouldn't come back, but it did. No biggy, just need to keep changing handle bar positions and stretch the had now and again. Concentration was good for the most part. That coincided with leg balance. I just didn't feel centered on the way out. Partically from the wind, but it just didn't come together for me until the last 2 miles or so, on the outbound. The return trip was much different. I was able to more easily find the center on the saddle and my legs. I was doing mostly moderate tempo and good tempo on a few places, such as over the top of Highline. Gear is working well, however I did hear some creaking noises while I was in the saddle. I'll have to check the saddle, chainrings, and maybe the handlebar/stem as well. Other notes, I only saw one other rider as I was making the last leg on WTR. I thought I'd see at least 3 or 4 others. I had a close call with a motorist who was ahead of me and wanted to turn right into their driveway. I hesitated to see if they were going to let me by. The did, so I took the right side of the road. There was a car back, so I thought that was the right action to take. I think I got a bit lucky this time.
