What great weather today. Nice and comfortable, in the 70's. I got out a bit later than usual. I wasn't really sure what kind of ride I was going to do today until I got out the door and had a feel for my legs. Turns out that I had fresh legs, so I was able to put in a solid ride. I made it to the top of the descent in under 10 minutes. The wind was from the north, so that was good time. I cruised the downhill, but pushed it a bit on a few occasions. I made it to the bottom in better than average time. In the first few minutes of the return ascent, I felt ok, my legs felt a bit sluggish, but came around after about 10 minutes. After that, I did good tempo most of the way up the climb. I was focusing mostly on my form. I had better balance today than the past few rides. My concentration was good for the most part. Ailments were in check, I think my right hand went numb just as I was about to reach the summit, but went away just as quick. Gear is working well. I didn't have time to check the chain rings, seat or stem. I'll look into that later today or tomorrow. Overall, today was a good ride. Other notes, the turkey vultures were out in force as were the squirels. I also caught a glimpse of a few cattle on the way back.
