Today's weather was favorable for Willow Springs n Back. Winds from the South East. The legs felt pretty good from the start. I prepared my mind for the slow trek to WS. And that it was. Pretty much crawling my way out there. The toughest part was the first mile climb, as it took 50% more time to reach the summit. From there, I put my mind in meditation mode. Keep the thoughts steady, because it was going to be a game of patience. After reaching the turn-around point, I spared no time and headed back. As anticipated, it was a quick return. Doing 20MPH+ most of the way back. I was looking forward to the downhill after making the summit. I was pushing 40MPH in the biggest gear. Lots of fun. From there, it was mostly fun and games. Concentration was very good. Minimal lapses, in the zone most of the time. No gremlins to mention. Balance and form felt good. Ailments... The right knee had a hint of soreness, somewhere in the last half of the ride. Nothing detracting. Gear worked flawless. I am doing some research for making or finding an app that will let me upload periodic photos from my GoPro to Android, to a secure website. Other notes, no other cyclists today.
