The weather continues to be great! In the low 70's. Winds from the North West. Cool air. Perfect for going to Keene. The legs felt pretty good to start. I made it to the summit of the descent in good average time. I cruised the downhill and put in two digs on the risers. I forgot to check the time at the base, but the metrics shows 29:16 minutes. So, good average. After reaching the base, I checked the front brakes. They are still rubbing ever so slightly. I got back on the road shortly after. It took a few minutes till my climbing legs were ready. The landmarks went quick. I had a few things to think about. The music and announcements helped. After the first dip, I was doing better in the morale. Even better when I reached the second dip. I approached this climb such that I would peak my HR when I reached the summit. I was doing in and out of the saddle efforts. I kept the power down all the way to the top. After cresting the summit, I took a few moments to recover on the bike. Then I made my way back home. I shut it down at the top of the Weston dig.
Concentration was good. My patience was mostly in check. I had few lapses. No gremlins worth mentioning. The morale felt good. Balance and form was good. Ailments were minimal. Some right hand numbness while digging out of the saddle. Nutrition was good. I had a bowl of oatmeal and half a banana before departing. I drank more than half my sport drink, no water. Gear worked flawlessly. No more mystery clicks since I cleaned the crankset. The power readings were more accurate today. Other notes, there were a few people at the Loop Monument. I gave them a good morning, to which they replied the same.
