The weather has let up a bit. It’s in the mid 40’s. Feels warmer to me, though. I decided to get out, as I haven't ridden outdoors in a while. I wasn’t sure where I was going to ride when I left. I knew I wanted to head out towards OTR, but no clue from there. I decided to go to WS because the I was going to have a tail wind on the return leg. The body felt responsive from the start. I haven’t lost a bit of my fitness. Thanks to training on Zwift. The outbound leg wasn’t too bad. I had a cross-head wind. Doing less than 15 MPH most of the way out. I was looking forward to the return. I spared no time when I got to WS and headed back. As I predicted, I was going 50% faster than the outbound. The miles went quick. I had to dodge some of the salt remaining on the street from the previous day’s snow. So, I was on situation awareness all the time. The last kickers came quick. I had a tailwind, so I was able to keep the power on, and over the top. The remainder was mostly fun and games. Concentration was good. Few lapses. I was able to get in the zone when I knew where I was going to ride. Balance and form was good. Gear worked flawless. I wore my full winter kit and I was getting hot, but not overheating. The GoPro had 15% charge remaining when I got back, so probably had about 10 to 15 minutes for recording time left. Other notes, no other cyclists. I saw a glider being towed as I was nearing WS.
