Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

Weather continues to be un-rideable. It's my Birthday. A great day to ride indoors. I wasn't sure what map to choose. I ended up going with the map of the day, New York. It's a neat map, but definitely, not my favorite. It's mostly rolling terrain, with climbs that last no more than 5 minutes. I found it difficult to get settled in. By the time I felt warmed up on one of the climbs, it levels off and starts undulating again. I started modest, like usual. I think today was more of an exploration ride. This route intertwines through NY. The scenery changes all the time. It mixes between park views and futuristic highways. At least it kept my attention. There were about 2000 riders today, on this map. That helped a bit. I was mostly passing people or being passed. Never really sticking with a group of riders. The course description said the loop was 21.4 miles. So, I was right in my estimation that it would take over an hour to complete. When I reached the one hour mark, I was about 19 miles into the ride. So, I figured, why not ride till mile 22ish and complete the loop. I got to mile 22, but the finish line was nowhere to be seen. So, I kept going. I got to mile 25, and no finish line. By that time, I was back on the highway bridges. I did one more climbing section and then headed down. I told myself to wait till I get to the park before beginning the cool-down phase. That's exacly what I did. I covered over 28 miles. Definitely not apples to apples, compared to the other mountainous maps. Maybe equal in effort to the London Box Hill loop. Concentration was good. Balance and form felt good. Ailments, I had some tenderness in the right knee. It lingered here and there, but went away by the end of the ride. Gear worked well. The power plug undid itself from the socket two times. I had to stop and re-insert it. I also had to pair my HR monitor and cadence sensor. Otherwise, the gear worked great. Other notes, there were about 2000 riders today.
