Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. I managed to get up for a training session before it got too late. It stopped raining, but it is real cold out now. Too cold for an outdoor ride. So, I hopped on Zwift. I thought there was going to be a London map today, but turned out not to be the case. They had Innsbruck and another map. I decided to ride on the Innsbruck map. I did the Lutscher route. I decided to do one lap and add just a bit extra. I had about an hours worth of time. Getting the gear together was quick. The legs felt good to start. I think it took around 10 minutes to get to the base of the climb. I started modest and then picked up the tempo after the legs and lungs felt warmer. I was doing mostly 3 W/kg, + or - 0.3. That seemed to be my sweat spot. I tried not to pay attention to the elapsed time and focused on my metrics while doing in and out of the saddle efforts. The scenery wasn't the best, but kept my attention. I was doing the numbers in my mind as I was climbing. The leader board showed up after about 19 minutes into the climb. I was nowhere near the finish. About 10 minutes away, if I remember. I was guessing what place I was going to get at the summit. I could see my progress on the altitude profile. I was relieved to make it to the top of the climb where it levels off. I kept the power down going through the finish of the climbing segment. I got 32nd out of over 100. From there, I recovered on the downhill. It didn't take much till I circled back to the start of the climb again. I decided to put in an extra 5 minutes of climbing. After that, I cooled down till the HR reached 112 BPM and hopped off.
Concentration was good. My patience was in check most of the time. I was focused and no gremlins. Balance and form was good. Ailments were minimal. Some minor hand soreness. My left knee was hinting on soreness, but went away. Nutrition was good. I had a bowl of oatmeal, half a banana, and some grapes for breakfast. After the nap, I fed another banana and some grapes before hopping on Zwift. I drank 2/3rds of my sport drink, no water. Other notes, there were over 600 riders on the Innsbruck map today.
