Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

The weather has let up. The clouds have disappeared. Perfect for riding. I decided to go to the Alpine Forest and then head out to CV. The legs felt good from the start. Made it to the end of OTR in average time. The Banducci wall went quick. No redlining. Climbing through the Alpine Forest is so much more enjoyable than Banducci due to the traffic being more safe. I reached the summit and took a few moments rest. I let traffic by and then headed downhill. Practicing my tuck, I reached 40MPH. The trek through the farmlands went quick. Having a tail or cross-tail wind. The last climb up CVR was mostly moderate. Again, no redlining. I kept the momentum going over the top. I stopped to swap out my camera battery, but I forgot to put it in my saddle bag. So, No more time wasted, I headed back out. I was able to practice riding no-handed. It 's feeling better every time. From there it was traffic mitigation through Route 202 and mostly fun and games from there. Concentration felt real good. The morale was high and I had some things to think about. Pretty much best case scenario. Ailments, some left knee soreness, that got better as the ride progressed. Balance and form felt good. Gear worked perfect. Some mystery clicks. I'll have to service the bottom bracket. I may need to buy replacement parts. Other notes, No other cyclists today. Before departing, I installed the extra bag underneath the downtube. I removed the pump for accessibility, but forgot to put it back. When I got back it was right where I left it. This is the second time I forgot. I'll have to follow the ride preparation list in the future.
