The rain continues. Perfect for riding indoors. I rode the Watopia Mountain Loop. Gear setup was quick. I was able to get the projector to show the streaming video. I put the fan at a more upright position and I think that helped me stay cooler. The legs felt pretty good from the start. I kept the warmup steady. Putting it in a big gear to stretch and test the legs. I put in a slightly higher tempo than the previous ride. Out of the saddle most of the time. In the saddle to wipe and hydrate. I think the fan kept me cooler as I was sweating less. I was thinking to myself that it was going to be a quick ride. And it was. The minutes went by quick. There were close to 1000 riders when I start. So there were more people around me than the previous Zwift ride. Better for the morale. I was able to calculate the time remaining and what I should put into it, respectively. I was within 3 to 4 watts/kg most o the time. Minimal red-lining. As usual the last 30 seconds is the highest wattage. I think I got 6th on the climb. After making the summit, I headed up the bonus climb. The usual grind to the top. Mostly out of the saddle. I then headed back to town. Keeping the legs turning. I put in a modest dig through the sprint zone. Grabbing a PR (unintentionally). There were two riders next to me. They gapped me. I tried to bridge and pass by the start/finish. But I was off by about 10 meters or so. After that, I put it in an easier gear and spun the pedals for 2 or 3 minutes. Then the usual cool-down. Concentration was good. The morale was good. Always nice to ride among many riders. Gear worked flawless. I think I need to decrease the pressure on the trainer tire, as it was skipping a few times. Balance and form felt good. Ailments, next to none. Maybe some palm soreness from riding out of the saddle. Other notes, there were about 1000 riders to start, and 600 to finish.
