Fantastic weather! In the low 70's. Winds from the North West. I was having doubts about going to WS, but decided to just do it, at the last moment. The legs were a bit heavy to start. It took a while for the legs to get warmed up. I made it to the end of OTR in average time. I didn't want this ride to be a time trial. So, I kept the tempo modest. Saving my matches for the return. I had some fun going down Highline. Reaching close to 40 MPH, spinning a small gear. From there, it was just moderate tempo. Enjoying the tailwind. I was trying to gauge the wind direction based on the giant wind mills at WS. It almost looked like it was going to be a tailwind on the first half, but wasn't to be the case. Fortunately, the wind was modest. I was holding 15MPH+ most of the time. So, the return went quick. I was also blasting the Walkman. I was trying to keep the mind active. Doing the numbers. I made it over the top without having to red-line too much. I made my way to OTR and fun and games from there. Concentration was good. The morale is doing good. That helped light-years. Balance and form was good. Ailments, next to none. Gear worked great. Still some mystery clicks while mashing the pedals while out of the saddle. I suspect that it is the headset or there-about, as I've serviced the bottom bracket yesterday. Other notes, I saw a glider being towed in WS. I crossed paths with 3 cyclists today.
