Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

It wasn't as hot as they predicted. But, the wind was strong and going the wrong way. I decided to go to the Alpine Forest instead of SS. The legs felt pretty good to start. It didn't take much to get warmed up. I was good to go by the time I reached the end of OTR. I'm still recovering from side pains. I couldn't feel the pains today, so it was the first time since they were noticeable. I was holding back when I was going up Banducci. I didn't want to red-line it so soon. I headed up Alps. I think I had a tailwind at that point. I was doing moderate tempo. No digs. I made my way around the Alpine Forest as usual. Got back to Banducci and went to the summit. I assessed the weather conditions. It was still turbulent wind. Mostly from the East. I knew the downhill was going to be dangerous. I was cautious. I was tucking, but also mashing the brakes to keep the speed manageable. When I got to the lower slopes, I was able to open it up a bit. Then the trip back. Pretty much what I expected. Battle of the elements. It probably took twice as much time to make it through the valley floor than usual. I was trying not to pay much attention to time. Just keeping my concentration going and keeping the pace steady. I was in the saddle trying to keep the arms tucked in. Probably saved 1 or 2 tenths of a MPH by doing that. I finally made my way to the last climb. The first few minutes were uphill into the wind. Then the mountain offered some protection. I was keeping my mind occupied from getting to discouraged. After making the summit, no digs, I stopped to swap out batteries for the GoPro. Then headed back on the road. From there it was traffic mitigation through Route 202. Fun and games from there. Concentration was good considering the dismal weather conditions. I was keeping my mind occupied when I felt it straying. Balance and form felt good. Ailments... My left knee was a bit sore when I was pushing my way through the wind on the CV. Mostly when I was in the saddle. Gear worked great. But still mystery clicks while out of the saddle. I'm likely going to bring it to the local bike shop. Other notes, no other cyclists today.
Other notes. This ride exceeded duration with respect to the usual Tour de Teh (SS,R) route.
Other notes... I almost got blown off my bike going through CV due to the strong cross winds. I was having to lean into it just to stay up-right.
