The weather has warmed up just a bit. About 82 to 83 degrees. Winds from the North West. I replaced the bottom bracket yesterday. I knew chances were slim that this would fix the creaking noises. Turns out that the problem persists. The next thing I'll service is the headset. The ride... The legs felt good to start. Not too much time to get them warmed up. By the end of OTR, I was good to go. I made my way up the Highline Climb. I tried not to get in the red zone. Made it over the top and headed out. Having fun on the descent and practicing holding my line while at speed and pushing. The trip to WS was enjoyable. No digs. Just steady tempo. After reaching the turn-around point, I headed back. As always, it's a game of patience. The first mile is the worst. After that point, the mind adjusts to the tempo. I kept the tempo steady. Getting out of the saddle once in a while. I made my way up the last few kickers. Taking about 7 minutes from Tucker to the summit. + or -. I pushed over the summit and then recovered for a few moments. I made my way down and back to OTR. From there it was mostly fun and games. Concentration was good. Few lapses. Hints of gremlins on the way back. Mostly benign. Ailments, next to none. Balance and form was good. Gear worked great, other than the persisting creaking noises. Other notes, I saw two cyclists today. One while descending Highline and the other bridging behind on Mariposa. No gliders today at WS.
