As predicted, the weather is raining. A perfect day to hop on the trainer. Since my main computer is due to arrive today from repairs, I had to use my Acer to use Zwift. Getting the gear together was quick with minimal issues. The legs felt pretty good to start. The first ten minutes was warmup time. When I made it to the base of the main climb, my Halo Replay was there. My goal was to stay within a couple minutes from it when I reached the summit. The miles went relatively quick. I wasn't red-lining it. I was doing in and out of the saddle efforts. I was putting out about 3 W/kg + or - 0.5. After passing through the tunnel, I felt better in the morale. I kept the tempo going over the top. I think I was just over one minute from my Halo Replay. After that, I headed up the bonus climb. I kept the tempo steady. I didn't want to blow up my hips. I used my easiest gears. After cresting the summit, I let up and recovered on the downhill. I joined a C group briefly and passed them. I didn't bother sprinting in the sprint zone. I kept my tempo going till I reached the finish. After reaching the finish, I let up and cooled down for about 1.5 miles. After the HR went down to 112 BPM and reaching 20 miles, I called it quits.
Concentration was good. My patience was mostly in check. The morale felt good. Balance and form was good. Nutrition was good. I had oatmeal, half a banana and some grapes for breakfast. I drank most of my sport drink, no water. Ailments were minimal. My hands were getting sore on the steeper slopes. Gear worked flawlessly, although, 5th or 6th gear felt a bit sticky. Other notes, there were over 5,000 riders on the Watopia map when I hopped on.
