Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

It's New Years. I got up close to 12PM. It was supposed to be raining when I got up. I was prepared to ride indoors until I looked outside and saw sunny skies. So, I had breakfast, got ready and went out for a ride. My left lower back is sore. It hurts to move in certain directions. Fortunately, I felt better on the bike. It was therapeutic. I wore the standard winter kit with short finger gloves. I made it to the summit in good average time. I headed up to the top of Highline (with a modest tailwind) and then around the Buffalo neighborhood. I got back on Highline for the return and then to OTR. The descent was enjoyable. I pushed over Mariposa and then the dig to the top of Weston where I shut it down.
Concentration was good. The morale was good going into the ride. No gremlins to speak of. Balance and form was good. Ailments were minimal. Just the usual numb hands while digging out of the saddle. Nutrition was good. I had a bowl of oatmeal with half a banana and grapes for breakfast. I drank most of my sport drink, no water. Gear worked flawlessly. I have to plan when to get the front derailleur cable replaced and the bottom bracket threads tapped. Other notes, I saw a 4 or 5 cyclists. They appeared to be having a good time. A very good day to get out!
