Post storm exploring spin northbound

After days of high winds and rain, the clouds parted and I took advantage. With road tire skins on, I paced myself out and back to mile 15 in the North Tongass highway. The storm caused a lot of cleanup duties. Both coming and going, I viewed a lot of crews working on downed trees, wind blown trash, and more than one evident of a vehicle crash. Temps stayed in the high 30's and peaked in the 40's F. I rolled on some roads I had never been on. Beyond tourist season, N. and S. Tongass highway don't have very steep climbs and there is plenty of quiet riding during the week once you are away from town. Nice spots to stop along the way to view the islands.

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
