Today's weather was a welcome reprieve from the previous ride. It was nice and comfortable at 75ish degrees. My legs felt a bit heavy in the first few miles, but felt much better by the end of OTR. I did better time than I anticipated. I did nothing less than moderate tempo up Banducci wall and summit. I was still doing good time, to my surprise. I checked my Charity app to see if it was recording, but it wasn't, so I told it to "Resume". I maintained the same tempo going out to SS. I reached the SS tunnel in well under 1 hour. I stopped at the exit of SS to check the Charity app again. I don't remember if it was recording though. I proceeded back east on Banducci at a moderate tempo. I had a nice tailwind when I reached Pelliser. I was able to lift the pace and keep it there until I reached the base of CVR. I checked the charity app again, and it was recording the metrics. The last climb was done in nothing less than moderate tempo. I had one dig over the summit. My body was feeling good and I knew I was on good time, so I kept a high tempo for the remainder of the ride. Concentration, infortunately, was less than average in my opinion. At times my mind was all over the place and I just couldn't find the zone that I like to be in. I was real disappointed in the end with this regard. Balance was pretty good, shady in some parts of the ride, such as going east on Banducci. Otherwise, acceptable. Ailments were almost none, some right knee discomfort on one or two occasions. Some numbness in the right hand. All of which dissolved in a few minutes time. Gear is working well, probably the best of the ride. Other notes, I saw Marcia running the other way while I was making my way up OTR.
