The weather is on the cold side and very windy. In the 50's, winds from the South East. I wore the standard winter kit. The legs were a bit heavy to start. I made it to the summit of OTR in average time. The Banducci Wall had traffic mitigation. I felt better after making it to the base of the Arosa climb. I did in and out of the saddle efforts till I reached the top. I was near max when I got there. I took a few moments to recover and then made my way around the backside. I couldn't enjoy the downhill since the wind was strong today. From there I headed to the top of Banducci. It was very windy there. I was getting knocked around for the first few hundred yards. The mountain side gave me some shelter as I made my way back down the mountain. I was coasting and feathering the brakes. There was traffic mitigation, so I let them by, by staying to the right and slowing down. Descending off the Banducci wall was a bit dicey, but not so bad. At least there was no traffic from behind to worry about. From there, I headed to OTR. The descent was mostly enjoyable. I had headwind on the way down. I took it easy. I pushed over Mariposa and made my way back to the top of Weston where I shut it down.
Concentration was good. I had stuff to think about. No gremlins worth mentioning. Balance and form was good. Ailments were minimal. A bit of hand soreness here and there. Nutrition was good. I had a bowl of oatmeal and some grapes for breakfast before departing. Gear worked flawlessly. Other notes, no cyclists out there today.
