It's raining outside as was predicted. I decided to ride on MyWhoosh. They have new maps. I chose the Area 52 route since I figured it would take less than an hour to complete. After getting the gear set up, I hopped on and got on with business. The first 10 minutes was warmup. I had to hop off the trainer a few times to adjust the position of the trainer and the fan. There was not so much elevation gain on this route. The scenery was very captivating. I had to remind myself that I was doing a workout and not a joy ride. Nevertheless, I got out what I wanted. There were a few timed segments. I couldn't figure out how they worked since there was no leader board. Otherwise, the legs and joints felt good. My right hamstring was a bit sore, but it didn't detract from the ride. After completing the first lap, I commenced the cooldown. I waited till the HR went to 112 BPM and then hopped off.
Concentration was good. I was captivated by the scenery. I had other stuff to think about too. Balance and form felt good. The position on the Madone feels a bit pitched down on the saddle, more so than my Emonda. It took some time to get used to it, but felt ok after a while. I may need to adjust it. Ailments were minimal. Just the minor right hamstring tenderness. Nutrition was good. I had a bowl of oatmeal and half a banana for breakfast. Gear worked flawlessly. I had to swap out the Di2 battery. Other notes, I think there were about 200 riders on this map. They're getting more riders since the last time I road on this platform.
