Didn't have a lot of energy but still felt good on the handful of climbs on this route. Typical spring day in Maryland -- bright sun, brisk NW wind, air temps in the 60s, with the breeze making it feel much colder. Still better than 30s or 20s of just two months ago... Lots of the trails need a haircut as the green stuff has really started coming up now. The tread is fine but the edges are full of eagerly growing weeds. Next cooler day we'll do that. Checked out a coupla side trails at 6.7 and 6.8 that have been there awhile. Curiosity satisfied. Not quite time for blackberry winter, but there are buds on the blackberrys that are in the sun most of the day. Spent much of the day on my feet working around the house, so I suspect that's the source of dead legs (or the ride yesterday? or both?)... still, we're early enough in the year where if the weather is at all nice, you ride, no matter what.
