Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

Today's weather was excellent. Cool, but very comfortable. I wore 1 base layer, arms and knees. I was planning on not having knee warmers, but thought twice about it because my right knee was ailing me after the last ride I did. Fortunately the soreness subsided yesterday, but I thought I'd be extra carious today. I put in an average ride. I didn't want to risk injuring my knee. I was also a bit fatigued. The wind was from the north west. So, I had a tailwind on the way out of Highline. I kept the tempo nice steady and well within my limits. On the way back, I did more of the same. The only real high effort was going over the last few kickers. After that it was fun and games. Ailments consisted of saddle soreness. Concentration was for the most part spot on. Balance was good. I'm liking the new position on the tops, close to the center and back in the saddle. Gear is working very well. No complaints there. Other notes, I saw 2 other cyclists as I was on the return trip. They were on the way out. They looked casual on mountain/upright bikes. I'm surprised I didn't see any others given today's nice weather conditions.
Other notes, I want to try turn-by-turn navigation on the next ride. I'm curious to see how it works. I think the real test will be on the Tour de Teh (SS,R) route and greater.
