Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

I got up early and took a nap after having breakfast. I was thinking of going all the way down to Keene, but decided to do a shorter ride. I got out around 11AM-ish. The weather was in the 70's and winds from the South East. I ended up going to the Loop Monument and turned around. The wind was somewhat turbulent, so I had a tailwind and headwind as I was ascending. There was a rider on his way back, as I was just about to make a u-turn and head back up the mountain. It was the same guy that I rode with on the TGF, in CV. I was able to bridge up to him and continue at my own pace. I was pushing it, just a bit. Reaching near max, at the summit. After reaching the summit, I shut it down and headed back. Overall, I got in, what I wanted. No heroics, just a good stand-in ride and something to test out the gear. All is working well. I've decided to do the Spooktacular ride. If I can keep my integrity, I should be ok. The body is giving me the green light. Other notes, I saw two cyclists today, including the one I past on the ascent.
