I was a bit reluctant to get out today. I had problems sleeping last night. Was up half the night. I was actually not too tired, though, when I decided to go for a ride. I didn't want a nice day, like today, to pass by. The wind was perfect for WS. So, I decided to just ride up OTR and see how it feels. It felt less than average, but I wasn't exactly hurting. I decided right away to go to WS, after reaching the summit of OTR. The outbound was the usual thing. Into the headwind. The first mile climb, being the worst. From there, it was cruise control to WS. Doing easy to moderate tempo. I had my music player going, full blast. The wind was noticeably strong. I was going downhill and having a tough time keeping it above 20 MPH. So, reached the turn-around point and headed back. Just before, I pulled over to swap GoPro batteries. I decided to put it into 1080p mode, down from 2.7k. The return trip was what I had anticipated. I was able to find a comfortable tempo with the assistance of the tailwind. I put in a good dig over the top. The downhill was fun. I approached 40 MPH. I pushed it over to Banducci. I pulled over once more to check the GoPro batttery charge remaining. It had about 60 something %. Plenty to get me home. The remainder of the ride was mostly fun and games. No red-lining or serious pushes. Concentration was good. I wasn't exactly sure what to expect, but it went well. Balance and form was good. Ailments, next to none. Gear worked great. Other notes, I saw 1 other casual cyclist today.
