I did the abridged SS,R ride today because I had some business to take care of. The weather was in the 70's. It's starting to get warmer. I'm trying to make up my mind how I'm going to survive the hot weather. I'm likely going to have to get up earlier in the day. My legs weren't quite as fresh as the previous ride, but I was sufficiently warmed up by the time I reached the end of OTR. I cruised the Banducci wall and the remainder of the climb. I wasn't pushing it today. When I reached the summit, I decided to proceed because the winds were still from the north. I didn't get a chance to look at my time when I reached the summit. The downhill was fun and games as it almost always is. I increased the tempo when I reached Pelliser. I'd say a little more than moderate. The last climb was more of the same. Concentration was good today. I was in the zone for the most part. Balance was good. Ailments consisted of slight saddle soreness and deep hip tissue fatigue. None of which inhibited my tempo. Gear is working well, no complaints there. Other notes, there continues to be a flurry of butterflies. Apparently it's mating season for them. The C.V. farmlands has new construction. It appears that they are doubling the current greenhouse. I'm guessing it will be one of the largest in California.
