I got my nutrition wrong last night. A bit too many pastries before bedtime. I felt a bit bloated. It took more than an hour to fall asleep. I woke up with a mild appetite. I had breakfast and took a nap. It was tough getting out, as the gastro was still a bit on the heavy side. Eventually, i got up before noon. I decided to head out to Keene. The weather is great. In the 60's, Mild winds from the South West. I made my way to the summit of the descent. I ended up removing some layers. Arms and knees. I shoved as much as I could in my extra case. I made my way down to Keene. I think I eclipsed 40 MPH along the way. I put in two digs over the short risers. After reaching the base, I headed back. The wind was somewhat turbulent. I had a mild tailwind for the first quarter mile or so. I kept the tempo nice and steady. It was an ascension with patience. No red-lining it. I was trying to keep positive when I was going into the wind. Otherwise, moderate tempo. I found my comfort zone and kept it there. The GoPro lasted the whole ride with a bit of charge left over. Concentration was good. Some reeling in the moments, but mostly focused. Balance and form was good. Ailments, some mild soreness in the last few miles. Gear worked great. Other notes, I saw 3 cyclists today. No surprise, a great day to get out!
