I was hoping to go for a Keene n Back ride. It's been raining, so I had to change plans. I decided on Zwift. But I didn't want to ride on the Watopia or London map. I ended up riding on Innsbruck. There were less than 50 riders when I started. So, it was a bit lonely on the road. Most of them from out of the U.S. I decided to do a full lap and see how the legs felt. It took the usual 10 or so minutes to start the climb. The legs felt average to start. I kept the tempo steady. Not doing much more than 3 Watts/kg. I forgot to update my weight before the start of the ride, so I was about 2 pounds above. I was trying to keep my mind occupied, not fixed on one thing for an extended period of time. I was in and out of the saddle. No sense of urgency. About 5 minutes from the summit, I noticed that I was on par for the KOM. So, that was the carrot I needed to make it to the summit and keeping the power down. I felt better as the climb went on. Putting in a good effort over the top. I got the KOM. I decided to head down and go back up the mountain till I reached about 50 something minutes. I felt better on the second lap, but I didn't want to complete the climb. I think it was around 50 minutes when I decided to turn around. Then I saw a rider ahead doing half the wattage, so I decided to bridge to him, then turn around. I took an extra 2 minutes or so. From there, I did a u-turn and headed back to town. Once in town, I did the cool-down phase. Ending in about 1 hour elapsed time. Concentration was good. Perhaps a bit on the impatient side. Balance and form was good. Ailments, none. Nutrition, no signs of hunger knock. I drank about 2/3 of my Gatorade. Gear worked flawless. The bike is exhibiting a creaking noise near the bottom bracket, on the right side.
