The weather has let up. (IE, it's not raining). It's in the 40's. I wore the full winter kit today. I had a phone appointment at 2pm. And I got out around 12:15-ish. So, I had motivation. But not so frantic. I knew I'd be back in time. The legs felt pretty good. I made it to the top of the descent in good time. The descent was mostly relaxing and soft pedaling. I made it to the base in about 28 minutes. I headed back, no stops. I was having to adjust the leg warmers now and again, but at least, I didn't have to stop to adjust. The wind was going the right way, so the ascent was more manageable. I had to stop two times. Once, to remove my face mask, as I was at the top of the Tehachapi Loop. From there I rode non-stop till I was about 1 mile from the summit, to swap out the GoPro Battery. I kept the power down over the top. I was on par, for making it on time for the phone appointment. So, I spared no time to stop. From there, it was mostly fun and games. Concentration was good. Balance and form was good. Nutrition, I had 2/3rds of my Gatorade, minimal water. Ailments, none. Gear worked flawless, although the GoPro ran out of batteries about 20 minutes sooner than usual. Other notes, no other cyclists. There were some people at the Loop Monument, as I was making my way back up the mountain.
Other notes: When I got out, I went down the drive way. About 200 feet later, I realized I forgot my face mask. So, the overall time reflects that additional time to restart.
