Weather is great. I got out around 10:30. Winds were moderate, from the North West. The legs felt good to start. I made it to the summit of the descent in good time. The downhill was enjoyable. In my shorts and short sleeves. Perfectly comfortable. I made it to the base. No clue what my time was, I didn't check. As I was making my way up the climb, I noticed the water bottle holder was loose. Just after I went under the freeway overpass. I pulled over to see what was wrong. One of the bolts was loose. I ended up taking everything out of my saddle bag. Only to discover that I didn't pack my allen wrench kit. I was able to use a small flat tip screw driver. It happened to be the same diameter as the bolt. Suffice it to say, I was able to tighten it enough. I had to repack as much as I could into the saddle bag. And everything else into my extra bag. The climb went well. The body felt responsive. I wasn't pushing too much. Only where needed. Out of the saddle frequently. Definitely a solid clilmb. Concentration was good. I had a few things to think about. I got my new MP3 speaker, and was able to try it out for the first time. It worked like a charm. I still need to get used to the buttons. Balance and form was good. Ailments, next to none. Gear worked well, with the exception of the loose bolt. Which was my fault. The bike still exhibits some minor mystery clicks as I'm pedaling, out of the saddle. Other notes, I saw one other cyclist. I'm still getting used to the Fidlock holder. I think I'm getting better at it. A few more rides and I should be a pro, at using it.
Other notes, I put in two digs on the two risers, as I was descending. It felt good.
