The weather is great! Nice, cool, favorable winds. The legs felt heavy today, so I decided to take it easy. I set out what I planned. I went to the Alpine Forest Summit then added the CVR loop, less SS. When I reached the end of OTR, the legs were still heavy. I pulled over and consumed about 25% of my Cliff Bar. I didn't bother to check the time. I got back on the road and headed up the Banducci wall. I kept it in my easiest gear, trying not to red-line too much. The Alpine Forest was more of the same. Just taking it easy. I was at 90% over the top, so I had something in reserve at that time. I made it to the Banduci summit. The legs were so-so. I decided to complete the ride as was planned. The wind was a bit on the strong side. I made my way around the farmlands. I reached Boss Hogs in about 1:16 hours. The last climb went well. I had to stop and Bio once. After reaching the summit, I pulled over and swapped the GoPro battery. Shortly after, I headed towards Route 202. There were some calves in the field grazing. I took a few moments to get it on video. From Route 202, it was mostly fun and games. Concentration was good. I had tons to think about and the music helped too. Balance and form was good. Ailments, minimal, I had heavy legs today. Gear worked perfect. Nutrition was good. I ended up consuming about half a Cliff Bar and most of my Gatorade. A bit of water too. Other notes, I saw 2 cyclists today.
