Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

This was ride #3 post surgery. I was able to increase the tempo on this ride. I maxed out at about 145 BPM. The legs felt good. This was the perfect ride. It gave me exactly 30 minutes of riding for one loop around the course. I have an appointment at 3PM. So, this was the perfect duration for both conditions. My wounds were more comfortable. I was able to breath more freely and the agitation was less. I did wear a thin base layer. So, perhaps that helped. My wattage was between 1.5 and 4 W/kg, until cooldown. Concentration was good. Morale felt good. Balance and form was good, not great. Ailments were minimal. The wounds feel better. I was able to get out of the saddle with less pain. Gear worked great. I have to lube the chain. Nutrition was good. I Had about 1/4 of my Gatorade. Other notes, there were about 3000 riders on this map and I got 10 Ride-on's.
